Smears for Pan-Seared Steak
Blue Cheese Smear
2 T. butter |
2 T. blue cheese |
- Soften the butter (20 seconds in microwave or an hour at room temperature).
- Use a fork to mash together the butter and the cheese.
- Spread the mix over the hot steaks and serve immediately.
Horseradish Smear
3 T. butter |
3 T. prepared horseradish |
1/2 t. vinegar |
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste |
- Soften the butter (20 seconds in microwave or an hour at room temperature).
- Use a fork to mash together the butter and the horseradish. Mix in the
vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the mix over the hot steaks and serve immediately.
